The SSCA Membership Drive 2023 is well underway. Initial responses are far ahead of all previous years. I believe that our goal of 500 plus members can be achieved. As of February 21, we have 330 paid members and counting. Signs are now posted.in various “high profile” areas around South Shores.

This year’s Annual Meeting will be hosted at the Elks Club on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at 7pm. There will be speakers and presentations by our LAPD SLO Melody Shortle, Councilman Tim McOsker, and a special update by Mr. Glen Acosta providing an update of the Clearwater Project now underway. Glen made a presentation to the Board that was so interesting we thought it important to present to our membership.

The Sociables membership is up to 24 participants. Congratulations to Anita on a fantastic idea that you have brought to reality.

Sidewalk Brigade is back in action, cleaning up the Cumbre & Mantis “look out” corner.

ViewPoint 2023 edition will be digital format ONLY! Keep your eyes and keyboard open.

A meeting with Councilman Tim McOsker has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 1st.  The topic of discussion: the many open issues facing South Shores.

As previously mentioned, the SSCA annual membership drive is now in full swing with invoices having been mailed, signs posted, and several calls of appeal conducted. Membership donation remains at $20.00 for the year. The SSCA year is January 01 through December 31 of that ensuing calendar year. Membership applications will be accepted at the Annual Members Meeting 03/21/2023.
