NEW DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN SAN PEDRO TO INCREASE DRIVER SAFETY

Construction began Nov. 1, 2016, on a project to improve the street drainage system at 25th Street and San Ramon Canyon (near the Rancho Palos Verdes (RPV) and City’s border) in Council District 15. The scope of work includes the reconstruction of the drainage system that would mitigate local flooding problems, improve the driving safety during a rain storm, and thereby benefiting both RPV and City’s residents. The street structure at this project location is being damaged by the flooding from San Ramon Canyon. This street is the main East-West access route for the southern portion of the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
